Welcome to the World of Valerie A. Frank

Artist Valerie Frank began painting at age 13 when her next door neighbor taught her to paint in oils, her preferred medium.

“I loved the way the paint felt on the brush then, and I still do now.” says Valerie.

Today, Valerie lives and paints in Frederick, Maryland on a horse farm with her family. She paints in a studio up over her garage where sh can watch her horses grazing.

In recent years she has focused on equine paintings, florals and landscapes and enjoys painting images with an aura of drama around them.

When a single image sparks her enthusiasm, she paints the energy she feels from it, whether it’s a horse or a flower or a barn in the country.

Valerie attends art classes at the local college whenever she can and invites other local artists to paint with her in her studio.
